A Colombian leader drives the Hispanic business ecosystem

in the United Kingdom.

A prominent Colombian woman, resident in London for over 14 years, has developed a passion for community initiatives and strengthening the Hispanic business ecosystem in the United Kingdom. Since 2012, she has actively participated in artistic and cultural groups focused on promoting Latin American diversity, contributing to the country’s cultural enrichment. With a degree in International Business, Paola Uribe began her career in the education sector in Colombia, where she developed international programs for students and established partnerships with renowned companies in Colombia and the United States.

These collaborations provided numerous students with valuable global opportunities, allowing them to access educational and professional experiences abroad. Upon settling in London, she expanded her training in Public Relations and recently qualified in Education, with a focus on policy. During this time, she gained solid professional experience in customer service and high-profile event coordination, earning an excellent reputation in the hospitality industry. Alongside her husband and family, she also delights London diners with traditional Colombian dishes served at their restaurant ‘Amigos’. This extensive background led her to join the L A United team, with whom she successfully organised the first edition of the ‘Latin American Awards’, an event that highlighted the Latin American community in the United Kingdom. Held in February 2024 at the prestigious Royal Lancaster Hotel in London, the gala nominated more than 120 Hispanics residing in 12 categories, with an attendance of over 300 guests.

Currently, Paola holds the position of Chair of the Board of Directors at L A United, an organisation dedicated to fostering growth, unity, and connections among Hispanic entrepreneurs in the United Kingdom. With a clear vision for the future, she is committed to driving this ambitious project, aiming to generate significant opportunities for the Latin American business community and consolidate its presence on the international stage. Her leadership and dedication are a role model for the growing community of Latina businesswomen, who seek not only to achieve success in business but also to generate a positive impact on society. Paola is a true reference for mothers, wives, and entrepreneurs who, like her, stand out and lead for the well-being of their communities.
